I got the opportunity to shadow a doctor after I did some research about programs in underdeveloped countries and found one that interested me. I read about the requirements and what the program offered, then decided to reach out. I wrote a email explaining my interest in medicine and asking if I could shadow a doctor. A few days later, they responded and said I could join the program. I was excited and thankful for the chance to learn from real medical experience. I chose to do this program because I want to learn more about healthcare in a hospital and clinical setting. This opportunity also allows me to learn more about women’s health and treating patients
